Family-run Weaver Haulage has added three T520 High 6×2 pusher tractor units to its fleet that will work on bulk powder jobs across the Midlands and the South of England for cement clients.

Supplied by Allports Group, the new vehicles with Gardner Denver blower equipment are powered by Renault Trucks’ 13 litre engine producing a maximum 2550Nm of torque from 990rpm to 1400rpm.

The vehicles are fitted with additional front and rear lights, as well as Spot-On light bars and roof-mounted twin air horns.

Weaver Haulage has specified Optivision Map Based gear shift strategy for Fuel Eco, which anticipates topography and centralised data storage, and Eco Cruise control with Optiroll.

The trucks also include fixed roof and side deflectors which assist with fuel savings for occasional refrigeration work.

Weaver Haulage’s trucks are out on the road five to six days a week, making driver appeal a crucial factor in the new vehicle selection.

The driver-led specification includes microwave, fridge, luxury seats, air conditioning and additional back cab lockers to maximise storage.

Bradley Harvey, Director at Weaver Haulage, said the diligence and commitment to excellence by the Allports Group, combined with competitive pricing and driver appeal, were key influencers in concluding the deal.

“Ensuring driver satisfaction is also essential for our operation’s success,” he said.

“Our drivers appreciate the layout of the new truck, praising the cab’s size and spaciousness. The adjustable steering wheel position has been well-received, and the extra back lockers offer ample storage for extended trips.”
