Edinburgh Coach Lines has taken delivery of two new Integral i6S Efficient tri-axle coaches from Irizar UK.

The PSVAR compliant coaches, which will be in operation on the Leger Shearings holiday tours programme, feature DAF’s 11-litre coach engine, the MX-11 330, with an output of 449hp which drives through ZF’s Traxon 12-speed automated gearbox.

At 14 metres in length, they seat up to 42 passengers on padded seats and each passenger benefits from a magazine holder, seat-back table and multi-position footrest, as well as USB charging points.

Other passenger amenities include an onboard toilet with an electric hand dryer located in the central stairwell and a rear lounge area.

In addition to the Bosch Smart Series audio-visual system and monitors located throughout the saloon, passengers can also use the Azimit On Demand media system.

The coaches have been fitted with onboard vacuum systems to keep the interior immaculate and they also feature leather multi-function steering wheels and black-tint windows.

Edinburgh Coach Lines, owned by the Eirebus Group, has been in operation for more than 45 years, with the current fleet comprised of more than 35 vehicles, ranging from 49 to 53 seats.

It undertakes a variety of work including corporate, school and university and private hire in addition to operating tours on behalf of the Leger Shearings Group.

Sinéad Kavanagh, Managing Director for Eirebus Group, said: “We are delighted to take timely delivery of two vehicles from Irizar UK to operate on Silver Service for Leger Shearings Group.”
