The motor industry takes its responsibility to produce safe, environmentally friendly products seriously. SMMT has therefore become concerned about some of the comments made against the modern 4×4 car. These seem to be based on unhelpful stereotypes rather than understanding the full range of available vehicles, their uses and their capabilities.
