How important is the Commercial Vehicle Show to Hope Technical Developments?
The Commercial Vehicle Show is the key event in the industry for promoting our van and truck safety products. It’s an excellent chance to network and maintain contact with existing and new customers.
We are a family-run company based in Littlehampton that was founded in 1962 and although we are constantly updating our products it is important to have an event like this to display them and keep the profile of the business high.
We might not see some customers face-to-face during the year but then see them at the show and have a chat.
Tell us about the products and staff the company will have on its stand this year?
We will have a range of products on our stand which will be staffed by our team of technical, design and manufacturing experts, who work together to produce a diverse selection of van and commercial vehicle safety equipment, including a complete range of Hope Safe-T-Bars and Safe-T-Steps for light commercial vehicles.
At our manufacturing site and headquarters in Littlehampton, West Sussex, we are able to provide a single source engineering solution – from design and manufacturing to assembly, testing, powder coating and finishing – with safety at its core.
Tell us more about your safe-T-bar product?
A key consideration for operators after their initial vehicle purchase is how to enhance or maintain their investment. Protection against rear vehicle damage from just one low impact fork-lift knock is enough to recoup the cost of this equipment. The durability and reliability of our safe-T-bar range helps prevent rear damage to vehicles whilst protecting the appearance and value of a van.
The safe-T-bar Recess step provides industry leading protection from damage and enhances the appearance and value of the van. The reduced step height in the centre of the step further aids safe loading and unloading also giving better roof rack access and helps reduce the risk of slips, trips, and falls.
All safe-T-bar options are available with or without aftermarket reverse parking sensors or with Sensor Connect, which allows the vehicle’s existing OEM parking sensors to be seamlessly integrated into a Hope bar, via a simple plug-and-play solution.
Hope safe-T-bar product options, meanwhile, use high tensile cold-formed alloy steel and they are compatible with the majority of leading manufacturers light commercial vehicles.
What about the safe-T-step?
The Hope safe-T-step is fabricated using mild steel and is lighter than most steps on the market. It is a unique slim design features an extra deep step area with anti-slip tread surface offering high slip resistance for safer vehicle loading and unloading.
The highly reflective red conspicuity strip provides improved visibility of the van during the day, night and in poor lighting conditions. The safe-T-step is available with or without reverse parking sensors or with Sensor Connect, which allows the vehicle’s existing OEM parking sensors to be seamlessly integrated into a Hope bar, via a simple plug and play solution. Again, it is compatible with the majority of commercial vehicles.
