Nineteen Group, a global exhibition organiser, announces its acquisition of the Commercial Vehicle Show, the UK’s flagship event for the commercial road transport industry.
The acquisition follows a successful management partnership that began in August 2024, when The Commercial Vehicle Show LLP appointed Nineteen Group to organise the event. The collaboration quickly proved to be a strong fit, combining Nineteen’s expertise in delivering high-quality events with the Show’s long-standing industry reputation.
Peter Jones, CEO of Nineteen Group, commented “We’re thrilled to officially welcome the Commercial Vehicle Show into the Nineteen portfolio. It’s an iconic event, and we’re committed to building on its success and deepening its impact across the sector. Crucially, we’ve entered into a long-term agreement with the Road Haulage Association (RHA) and the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) to continue their vital involvement ensuring the Show remains rooted in the industry it serves.”
The RHA and SMMT, co-owners of The Commercial Vehicle Show LLP, bring decades of sector insight and influence. Their continued strategic involvement reflects a shared commitment to shaping the future of the UK’s commercial vehicle sector. This long-term collaboration ensures the Show remains deeply integrated with the industry’s priorities and well-positioned for sustainable growth.
The Commercial Vehicle Show is an essential fixture in the UK automotive calendar, offering manufacturers and suppliers a key platform to connect with operators, policymakers, and stakeholders. Nineteen Group’s professionalism and dedication will help maintain the Show’s position at the forefront of innovation and excellence for the transport sector.
Mike Hawes, Chief Executive, SMMT
This isn’t just an exhibition…it’s where business happens, relationships are built, and the industry evolves. The RHA is proud to continue its deep involvement with the Show under a long-term collaboration. With Nineteen Group’s leadership, the Show is well-positioned to grow alongside the sector’s needs and ambitions.
Richard Smith, Managing Director of the Road Haulage Association (RHA)
Looking ahead, the Commercial Vehicle Show will grow in scope and scale under Nineteen’s ownership. Key areas of development include expanded content, enhanced visitor experiences, and increased engagement with decision-makers across logistics, transport, and supply chains. Mike Costain, Event Director, and his dedicated team will continue to lead the event, ensuring its strategic direction remains closely aligned with the industry’s future. The acquisition comes just ahead of the Commercial Vehicle Show 2025, taking place 29 April–1 May at NEC Birmingham
