Thursday 13 March 2025
09:00 – 17:00 GMT, QEII Centre, London
The second half of this decade will be a decisive period in our transition to zero emission vehicles, which is critical to the achievement of net zero by 2050. A successful transition will depend heavily on various conditions falling into place, all against a backdrop of rising global competition as countries seek to put their own automotive market and industry ahead of the game.

We are now at a “sliding doors” moment. Getting it right has never been more important. The right market-boosting measures will accelerate EV adoption and make zero emission transport possible for all consumers and businesses. The right regulatory reforms will turbocharge infrastructure rollout and renewable energy generation. An ambitious and globally competitive industrial and skills strategy will make the UK a location of choice for EV manufacturing, engineering and supply chain. An optimal trade policy will secure strong free trade relations globally.
As the UK’s preeminent summit on electrification of road transport, SMMT Electrified will again bring together over 400 senior representatives from industry, government, key partner sectors such as infrastructure, energy, fleets, insurance and logistics, and diverse stakeholders to discuss how we can jointly make the transition to zero emission mobility a resounding and unequivocal success.
We are delighted to announce that keynote speeches will be delivered by:
