Tell us about the products Flexis will be exhibiting at the Commercial Vehicle Show this year?
We are thrilled that we will be able to show, for the first time in the UK, our revolutionary Step-in van at the CV Show. We will have an exterior model that demonstrates the imposing and innovative design features that set this incredible vehicle apart from anything else on the market.
We will also have a version of the interior that we can walk people through and showcase the superior ergonomic design, driver-friendly configuration, and all the enhanced safety and security features that come with a van designed specifically for logistics companies.
Detailed demonstrations and close up contact with our concept vehicles are only available by appointment at the Show, so book your slot with our team.
How important is the CV Show to Flexis?
The CV Show in 2025 will be the first opportunity Flexis has had to showcase not only our amazing product, but also put our fantastic people in front of the public. We have a great story to tell about how we will revolutionise the industry through true partnerships with customers that lead to innovation and genuine improvements across their businesses.
Our approach is a new way of thinking that builds on traditional relationships and so, having the opportunity to discuss this with people in a public forum is a massive benefit to Flexis, and one that aligns perfectly with the CV Show given the great audience the show attracts.
Can you tell us how the Flexis brand came about?
The logistics industry is ready for a paradigm shift in the way that fleets operate. No legacy OEM is capable of creating such innovation as they just aren’t set up to give a laser focus to any one industry. The entrepreneurial thinking and agility that comes from a start-up is needed but similarly, start-ups have the challenge of scaling to be a full series production manufacturer and that takes a different set of skills coupled with massive investment.
Flexis is unique in that we have the best of both worlds. We can operate as a small, agile and flexible company with a laser focus on the logistics sector, holding our customers at the heart of everything we do, and then leverage the experience and assets of our major shareholders to provide scalability from day one.
We will manufacture our vehicles in Renault’s factory and utilise existing supply chains, massively de-risking our go-to-market strategy. Volvo Group has a wealth of knowledge and experience in manging uptime through connected services for HGVs, and we will bring that attention to detail into the LCV world with a whole load more technical innovation.
How and where will the vehicles be made?
Flexis vehicles will be manufactured in Sandouville, France, at the existing Renault facility. The factory has been there since 1964 and is recognised a Renault’s number one plant for quality. Flexis has already invested €340m in tooling with the first production line currently being readied to start building the next stages of prototypes in the run up to series production commencing in 2026.
Manufacturing vehicles in France is a key part of our commitment to minimise emissions in our supply chain. Our two battery suppliers are also based in Europe, and there are a wide range of projects ongoing to monitor and minimise our environmental impact from cradle to gate.
